Obituary of William "Chad" Swan

William “Chad” Swan, 49, of Rivesville, passed away peacefully with grace and dignity after an extended battle with Huntington’s Disease, surrounded by his loving family.

Chad is survived by his mother, Barbara and Step-father, Mark Dorsey; two daughters, Brianna Swan and Caitlyn Swan. His sister, Terri Beasley and step-brother, Mark Dorsey. A special aunt and uncle, Pat Elrod and Skip Morris (Wanda); Brianna’s mother, Bobbie Swan, Brianna’s grandmother, Sarah Albright, as well as several other loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Chad was preceded in death by a sister, Tina and brother, Bud Junior; maternal grandparents, Ed and Oletah Morris; step-grandparents, Andrew and Dorothy Dorsey; uncle and aunt, Bill and Pat Swan.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second St., Rivesville, WV 26588, on Sunday, December 3, 2017, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at 4 p.m. with Pastor Dave Meyer officiating.
