Obituary of Flora Ada Trupo

     F. Ada (Pinion) Trupo of Bridgeport, WV (91) was born April 21, 1926 passed away October 28, 2017 following a brief illness.  A daughter of the late Joseph & Patsy Pinion of (Glen Elk) Clarksburg,WV.

     Ada was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Louis J. “Zeke” Trupo in April of this year. Also preceded in death by an infant daughter, one sister, Julia Tenda, three brothers, Anthony (Tony) Pinion, William “Bill” Pinion, and John Pinion all of Clarksburg.

     She is survived by a daughter, Jona (Trupo) Michel and husband, Tom, of Bridgeport; two sons, Dr. Joe Trupo and wife, Debbie, of Elkins, and Louis Trupo Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Columbus, OH; a special daughter, Michelle Brady of Bridgeport.  Also surviving are six grandchildren, Chris Trupo, Jaime (Trupo) Korn and husband, Stephen, Heather (Trupo) Collier and husband Josh, Melissa (Michel) Rubi and husband Dr. Dionisio “Nicho” Rubi, Kristy (Michel) Marshall and husband Scott, and Lauren Trupo; nine great-grandchildren, Kirkland Pyles and wife Amanda, Autumn Trupo, Sofia Rubi, Stella Rubi, Lucia Rubi, Austin Marshall, Alexis Marshall, Luca Collier, and Eva Collier; one brother-in-law, L. Joe Trupo of Bridgeport; sisters-in-law, Frances McConchie of Lewes, DE and June Pinion of Clarksburg, WV.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

     Ada’s greatest joy was spending time with and feeding her family.  She always had meatballs frozen for anyone who stopped in to visit.  She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved to travel on cruises, to Hawaii and to Italy to visit relatives.  She never met a stranger and was a joy to everyone she met.  Ada also loved to tell stories of growing up in Glen Elk and spending time in Cook’s Mine (Meadowbrook) with her grandparents.  Sitting on the back porch feeding the birds and tending to her flowers were also a favorite past time.

     Ada graduated from WI High School in 1944 and worked for the Maidenform Co. in Clarksburg during and after WWII.  In later years she worked at W.T. Grant Co. & eventually went to work for the Harrison County BOE and retired as a school cook from Johnson Elem School in Bridgeport.  Ada enjoyed being a poll worker for many elections.

     Ada was a faithful member of All Saints Catholic Church for more than 62 years.  She was also active with All Saints School during her children’s years.

     Friends will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV on Thursday from noon – 8:00 PM.  The Vigil Service will be held in the funeral home at 7:30 PM.  Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church, 317 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Father Benedict Kapa and Reverend Father Hilarion V. Cann presiding.  The interment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery.
