Obituary of William Monroe Kimbrel
William Monroe Kimbrel, 71, of New Martinsville, WV, formerly of Fairmont, WV, passed away early Friday morning in Genesis Health Care in New Martinsville, WV. He was born August 17, 1946 in Waynesburg, PA, son of the late John and Ethel Elza Kimbrel. Bill was a Protestant by faith. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He was retired from West Virginia University in the maintenance department, with 28 years of service. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed Karaoke nights with friends and truly cared for his dog Rusty. Survivors include a son and his wife, William Monroe and his wife Denise Kimbrel of Morgantown, WV, 3 daughters and their husbands, Louella and Eric Nine of Dilliner, PA, Karen and Alan Aronhalt of Morgantown, WV, and Barbara and David Riggleman of Morgantown, WV, 10 grandchildren, Brittany Kimbrel of Morgantown, WV, Samantha Kimbrel of Morgantown, WV, Caden Kimbrel of Morgantown, WV, Tanner Hart of Morgantown, WV, Tatum Hart of Morgantown, WV, Emma Nine of Dilliner, PA, Donnie Deavers of Morgantown, WV, Ryan Gabler of Morgantown, WV, Sabrina Gabler of Morgantown, WV, and Gabrielle Riggleman of Morgantown, WV, 2 great grandchildren, Mia and Maya Gabler, and 2 sisters, Barbara and her husband Clarence Carter of Morgantown, WV and Linda Kimbrel of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by a son, John Rockford Kimbrel and a sister, Marjorie Lancaster. Family and friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St. Fairmont, WV from 11am until 1pm on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at 1pm, with Pastor Bill Toothman officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont, WV.
