Obituary of Metchel William Lowe

Metchel William Lowe, 91, of Grant Town, WV passed away Sunday afternoon in his residence.   He was born May 13, 1926 in Monongalia County, WV, son of the late John Andy and Bernice Helen Herman Lowe.   He was preceded in death by his wife Blanche Lee Lowe, who died in 2013.   Mr. Lowe was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Grant Town, WV.   He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II.   He retired as a coal miner with Consolidated Coal Co. at Loveridge Mine.  Survivors include his 5 children, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.  Family and friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Jasper St., Rivesville, WV from 3pm until 7pm on Thursday and 10am until 11am on Friday.   Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Friday, 7-21-2017, at 11am, with Deacon Lou Belldina officiating.   Burial will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Morgantown, WV.  Online condolences may be made to www.FORDFUNERALHOMES.com.
