Obituary of Constance Ann Cornwell

     Constance Ann Cornwell, 69 years of age of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017, following a forty-one year courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.  She was born April 3, 1948 in Clarksburg, WV, the daughter of the late Robert Logan and Annabelle Miller Cornwell.

     She is survived by a sister Paige Moccia and her husband Vic of Bridgeport, WV; two nephews Nate Moccia and his wife Bry of Alexandria, VA and Eric Moccia and his wife Kelly of Bridgeport, WV and their son Miller Moccia.

     Connie graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1966 and attended Fairmont State College.  She worked for the Oliverio family at “Sonny’s” in Bridgeport as a waitress and was known to make a fast milkshake.

     She was a passionate member of the National Organization of Women.  Due to her illness, she was an advocate for getting legislation passed for handicap accessibility. 

     A Gathering will be held at the Bridgeport United Methodist Church, 251 Worthington Drive, Bridgeport, WV on Friday from 11:00 AM – noon.  A Celebration of Life service will be celebrated in the church on Friday, July 21, 2017 at noon with Reverend Steve Engle and Reverend Dr. Dan Kimble presiding.
