Obituary of Joan Luzine Radcliff

Joan Luzine “Dean” Radcliff, 69, of Hagan’s Community, passed away Tuesday afternoon in Mapleshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Home Morgantown, WV.   She was born July 3, 1948 in Sutton, WV, daughter of the late Russell Lee and Bessie E. Cogar Dean.   Mrs. Radcliff was a member of Hagan’s Christian Church.  She was a graduate of East Fairmont High School and a graduate of West Virginia Career College with an associate degree in Business Administration.   She was an avid reader.   Survivors include Her husband, Jack Lee Radcliff of Hagan’s Community, married 50 years,  2 daughters and their husbands, Judy Lynn and Richard Barker of Sewickley, PA and Sharon Louise and David Dayton of Fairmont, WV,   2 sons, Roy Patrick Radcliff of Wisconsin and John Edward and his wife Sheila Radcliff of Crescent, PA,   10 grandchildren, Katelynn and Tommy Knotts of Fairmont, WV, Cory Tenney of Roswell, GA, Tristan Tenney of Roswell, GA,  David Dayton of Fairmont, WV, Hannah Dayton of Fairmont, WV, Samantha Barker of Avalon, PA, Zane Barker of Sewickley, PA, Allyson Barker of Sewickley, PA, Logan Radcliff of Crescent, PA,  and Liliana Radcliff of Crescent, PA,   1 great grandchild, Abigail Knotts of Fairmont, WV,   a sister, Linda Dean of Fairmont, WV,   2 brothers, Calvin Wayne and his wife Ann Dean of Fairmont, WV and Denzil Dean of Mannington, WV, a brother-in-law and his wife, Clifford and Pat Radcliff of Ridgeley, WV, a sister-in-law, Mary A. Norman of Hagan’s Community, and several nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and their spouses, Clell and Mary Dean and Kenneth and Marilea Dean, and a brother-in-law, Ed Norman.  Family and friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Jasper St., Rivesville WV from 6pm until 8pm on Thursday, 1pm until 4pm, 6pm until 8pm on Friday, and 10am until 11am on Saturday.   Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Saturday, 7-15-2017, at 11am, with Rev. Stanley Merrifield officiating.   Burial will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Morgantown, WV.   The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Mapleshire Nursing home and the Hospice staff from West Virginia Caring for the excellent care she received.
