Obituary of Glenna Joyce McGinnis
Glenna "Joy" Joyce McGinnis, 81 of Bridgeport, daughter of the late Daniel Blake "Mike" Wiles and Martha Lucille Garner Wiles, passed away peacefully at her daughters home on Monday July 10, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Charles "Chuck" McGinnis.
She is loved beyond words and survived by her four daughters, Debbie Morphis Bragg of California, Cookie Compton and husband, Mark of Bridgeport, Kim Ross of Bridgeport, and Jenny Springer Davis and husband, Brian Davis of Bridgeport. Grandchildren were her pride and joy. Chad Reppert and wife Jacqueline of Bridgeport, Jessica Isch and husband Al of Bridgeport, Jaclyn Belcastro and husband Justin of Bridgeport, Marissa Cwalina and husband Colin of Havertown, PA, Ryan Compton and wife Adrienne of Bridgeport, Brittany Morphis of California, Greg Ross of Bridgeport, Lindsey Mugge and husband Eric of Bridgeport, Chelsea Morphis of Elkins, and Mikayla, Austin and Kyler Springer of Bridgeport. She has 15 beautiful great grandchildren she loved with all of her heart. Also surviving are two very special sister-in-laws that were always by her side, Paula and Greta McGinnis and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother Ronald Wiles and a sister Judith Wiles.
She centered her life around her daughters and their families. She loved watching her grandsons play football and watching WVU and Steeler football games. She was the 1953 Buckwheat festival queen.
Friends will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV on Friday from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10:30 AM with Reverend Matt Sprenger presiding. The interment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport, WV.
