Obituary of Roger Lee Stover

Roger Lee Stover, 67, of Bellview Ave., Fairmont, WV, passed away early Tuesday morning in Monongalia General Hospital.   He was born June 3, 1950 in Fairmont, WV, son of the late Roy B. “Mickey” and Maxine Dawson.   He was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Jo Stover, who died in 2011.   Roger was a member of Highland Ave. United Methodist Church in Fairmont, WV.   He graduated from Farmington High School in 1968.   He was actively serving as a school bus driver for the Marion County school system for the last 45 years.   He and his son Justin ran a lawn care service in Marion County for the last 21 years.   He earlier was employed at the Farmington Box factory.   Roger enjoyed all family activities.   He loved to go fishing, camping, and traveling to the Outer Banks in North Carolina.   Survivors include 2 sons, Roger Lee Stover, II of Fairmont, WV and Justin Michael and his wife Amanda Stover of Rivesville, WV,   2 daughters, Heather Marie Carmines of McLean, VA and Stephanie Rene and her husband Jeffery Beach of Cumberland, VA,   10 grandchildren, Skyler Austin Stover, Starr Shayleigh Stover, Somer Sharae Stover, Nicolas Michael Stover, Ethan Alexander Stover, MacKenzy Rae Thompson, Emma Jo Beach, Dakota Thomas Leonard, Makenna Hope Thompson, and Mikayla Morgan Carmines,   a sister and her husband, Carol Jean and Terry Sponaugle of Mannington, WV,   and a nephew, T.J. Sponaugle and niece, Amber Sponaugle.   Mr. Stover has chosen cremation services.   Family and friends are invited to a memorial service Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 1pm.   This will be held at East Fairmont High School in the school auditorium, with Pastor Scott Krepps officiating.   Ford Funeral, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV are handling funeral arrangements.   Online condolences may be made to wwwFORDFUNERALHAOMES.com.
