Obituary of Richard Alan Haught
Richard Alan Haught, 54, of Farmington, West Virginia died Thursday, May 25, 2017 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV after losing a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born September 11, 1962 in Fairmont a son of the late Earl Junior Haught & Effie Lorena Phillips Haught. He is survived by his wife Linda Grace Carpenter Haught of Farmington, WV.
He is survived by a daughter and her fiancé Makayla Haught of Farmington, WV & Braden Skinner of Daybrook, WV, a brother Earl Junior “JR” Haught JR. of Morgantown, WV, 4 sisters and 4 brother in laws Wilma & Tom Jackson of Morgantown, WV, Dana & Chuck Smith of Farmington, WV, Debbie & Denny Smith of Maysville, N .C. and Cheryl & Jim Toothman of Farmington, WV, a granddaughter Breilynn Skinner, many nieces & nephews and many aunts & uncles.
Mr. Haught was coal miner/ roof bolter for the Murray Energy Co. and had previously worked as a truck driver for Mont Levine Co. He was Methodist by faith, a 1980 graduate of North Marion High School, enjoyed hunting & fishing and loved spending time with family and his granddaughter.
The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV 26588 on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. and Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. The committal service will follow in the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover, WV.
