Obituary of Jeffrey Allen Kirk

Jeffrey Allen Kirk, 48, of the Sanford Community of Fairmont, passed away from heart failure on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Fairmont Regional Hospital in Fairmont. He was born August 22, 1968 in Fairmont, a son of John and Shirley Barnes Kirk. Mr. Kirk was a 1986 graduate of East Fairmont High School. He was a former long haul truck driver and car mechanic. Jeffrey enjoyed hunting and fishing, working on old trucks, and competing in mud bog contests. He loved spending time with his many close friends. In addition to his parents he is survived by his girlfriend, April Heston, his beloved dog “Odie”, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marion County Humane Society, PO Box 905, Fairmont, WV 26554. At Jeffrey’s request cremation services took place. Friends and family may visit at the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont on Saturday, April 29, 2017 11AM until 1PM. The memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 1PM on Saturday with Reverend Jim Zinn officiating. Entombment will be held at a later date at the Grandview Memorial Gardens, Fairmont, WV.
