Obituary of Jesse John Lynch

Jesse John Lynch, 87, of Buffalo Ave., Fairmont, WV, passed away early Wednesday morning in Monongalia General Hospital. He was born May 12, 1929 in Fairmont, WV, son of the late Jesse John, Sr. and Hallie L. Morrow Lynch. Mr. Lynch was a Protestant by faith. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, serving in Germany for 2 years. Prior to the war, he served with the 201st National Guard, with 4 years of service. Jesse was a licensed industrial electrician, retiring from North American Phillips, after 20 years of service. After retirement, he worked for D & M Welding as a machinist. He earlier was active with his ham radio as a hobby for 55 years, (W8DPT). Survivors include his wife Betty L. Lynch of Bellview community, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Louise Rinehart, Mary Jane Lynch, and Martha Alice Byrd. Family and friends are invited to Woodlawn Cemetery for memorial services to be held Sunday, 3-5-2017, at 1pm, with Rev. Stanley Merrifield officiating.
