Obituary of David John Rudolph

David John Rudolph, 74, of Clarksburg, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 29, 2024. He was born on October 27, 1950 in Altoona, Pennsylvania. David is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Ellen Rose Gricewich. David was a faithful member of the Bridgeport Free Methodist Church and a proud 1968 graduate of Wadsworth High School. He formerly worked as the store manager at General Tire in Akron, OH, and served as a paralegal for many years in the Prosecutor’s Office in Summit, OH. David had a special love for the game of golf, as his favorite course was the Sharon Golf Course in Ohio. He was also an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns. His dearest love and enjoyment was found in spending precious time with his friends and family. In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children, Julie Keiger and her husband Ryan of Medina, OH, and Brian Rudolph and his wife Marian of Wadsworth, OH, stepdaughter, Katherine Mollohan and her fiancé David Simmons of Clarksburg, and six grandchildren, Austin and Wyatt Rudolph of Wadsworth, OH, Brayden and Bentley Simmons of Clarksburg, and Anthony and Elizabeth Mollohan of Clarksburg. He is also survived by his siblings, Cathy Kimpton of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Paul Rudolph of Wadsworth, OH, Dottie Wasson and her husband Tom of Solon, OH, and Beth Williams and her husband Charles of Wadsworth, OH, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Gricewich of Bridgeport, 6 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews, and his dear friend, Jim Valentine of Wadsworth, OH. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by one brother, Patrick Rudolph formerly of Wadsworth, OH, and brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Gricewich formerly of Bridgeport. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport. In accordance with David’s wishes, cremation services will occur.
