Obituary of Andra Lorrain Kovach

Andra Lorrain Kovach, 89, of Kingmont, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the United Hospital Center. She was born on January 23, 1935, a daughter to the late William Harrison and Erma Elaine Enoch Blakemore. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Kovach. She is survived by her sons, Keith Kovach of Kingmont, and Brian Kovach and his wife Cyndi of Curtisville, her grandchildren, Brian J. Kovach and Ashley R. Kovach, her step-grandchildren, David W. Ott and Valarie M. Ott, three great-grandchildren, Gage Kovach, Garrett Kovach, and Sophie Kovach, and her beloved pet cat “Orange”. In addition to her parents and husband, Andra was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Cleta Wilson, her brother, William E. Blakemore, and her sister, Carolyn Blakemore. Andra was a graduate of East Fairmont High School, was formerly employed by the Westinghouse Corporation, the Times West Virginian, and retired as a secretary for the Marion County Commission Senior Aid Program. She regularly attended Kingmont Community Church, and was an active member of the Kingmont Ladies Auxiliary. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. Friends will be received in the funeral home on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 3p.m. until 8p.m., and again on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 10a.m. until 11a.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 11a.m. with Pastor Gary Steele officiating.
