From 1983-86, I was a law student at WVU. I had the great fortune to work for Pete at his law firm for the better part of 2 years, during my law school education, while he was City Attorney, including trying a case with him as a 3d year law student. I have been practicing in Martinsburg for over 38 years now, and not a bit of it would have been possible without Pete's early guidance. His kindness and patience taught me many things I did not appreciate at the time, but which have blessed me many times since. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. He was a GREAT man.

So many wonderful memories of Mr. Higinbotham taking us all camping and making his beloved pancake breakfasts after so many slumber parties where we undoubtedly, kept Mr. and Mrs. up all night being ornery. How we all loved him, his genuine kindness and his positivity.

We had the pleasure of knowing Pete for many years as both our attorney and good friend. His smile was infectious and as was his sense of humor. His love of life was a testament to all who had the pleasure of his company. In addition to his skills as a litigator in the courtroom, his overall personality was so inviting to all who like us knew him as a true friend. Rest in peace Pete knowing that you were a pillar in our community and will always be remembered as a true friend at all who had had the pleasure of knowing "Pete". As my brother is not doing so welll these days and is right now at a rehab facility, he might miss this. So on his behalf I wanted to send our most sincere condolences. Kenny will take this very hard I expect. He really enjoyed his time with Pete from Supper Club to NOLA to Cape Cod and everywhere in between. Again, our sincere condolences.

Jan & Family, I am so sorry for your loss! I had the pleasure of working for Higinbotham and Higinbotham for 12 years. I can honestly say that he was one of the best boss’s that I had ever worked for. He was always good to me and helped me out on two different occasions, legally. Prayers for you and your family.
