Obituary of Matthew Ray Alan Jones

Matthew Ray Alan Jones, 60, of Fairmont, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024. He was born on April 10, 1964, a son to the late William Edward. and Patricia Alice Schritchfield Jones. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Teresa Marie Johnson Jones. In addition to his wife, Matthew is survived by his children, Jeffrey Alan Jones and his fiancé Kelsey Benedum, Thomas Ray Jones and his fiancé Kianna Wills, and Patricia Belle Jones, his brothers, Willie Jones, Joseph Jones and his wife Amber, James Jones and his companion Tammy, and Jonathan Jones, and his sisters, Alissa Jones, and Jillena Jones. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Biscuit. Matthew graduated from North Marion High School in 1983. He enjoyed fishing, wood working, crafts, and working on cars with his son. He was a man who always liked to keep himself busy. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. “My father was someone who always put his family first, even when he knew he didn’t have much time left he did everything he could and more just to ease the burden of losing him” – Love your beloved daughter.
