I share in all of the other "Diner" remembrances here, and I'll add another story. Around ten or twelve years ago, I stopped in one morning for breakfast. For whatever reason, the waitress had not made it in to work yet. No problem for Todd! That morning for an hour or two, he 1) greeted diners, 2) took orders, 3) prepared the orders, 4) served the orders, 5) kept everyone's coffee cup full, and 6) rang the customer's bill. That says it all about Todd Satterfield. The "spark plug" that kept the machine running.
We didn't see much of him over the last year, but those few mornings he was able to work were extra special. And one Saturday morning he was cooking in the back, Natalie was out front, and Kathleen was working a fill-in shift. It was just like old times, one last time.
Condolences to his mother, sister Carolyn, nieces Annsley and Iris and all of the many friends who knew him.
