Obituary of Connie Jean Chaplin Gregory

Connie Jean Chaplin Gregory, 81, of Fairmont passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born in Fairmont on April 23, 1943, daughter of the late Eugene Chaplin and Genevieve Baker Chaplin. Connie is survived by her nephew, Davis Waid; cousins, Jackie Legare and Janie and Joe Murphy; many friends which include Margaret, Sally, Tomma, Tom, Jill, Joe, Milton, Monica as well as her many friends in California and Colorado; and her dog, Emma. In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her sister, Lida Chaplin; cousin, Julie Arment; and her dog, Minnie. Connie was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and was very active with her class reunions. She attended beauty school and worked as a paralegal in California. Upon retirement, she owned Curve’s Women’s Fitness in Fairmont with her sister. Connie was very social, an animal lover, a devoted friend, and an avid reader. In accordance with her wishes, Connie will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at Mt.
