Obituary of Derek Clayton Hager

Derek Clayton Hager, 43, of Fairmont, passed away in his home on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. He was born in Huntington on October 6, 1980. Derek was the son to the late Randy Clay Hager. Derek was a 1999 graduate of Huntington High School and was a graduate of Marshall University. He was employed by Huntington Bank in Fairmont as a teller. Derek enjoyed spending his time disk-golfing with his best friend, Josh. He loved cooking, fishing, going to concerts, and golfing with his grandfather. He is survived by his mother, Robin (Beever) Hager of Princeton, his companion, Kelley Rose, his step-father, Chester Victor, his step-mother, Carla Hager, his step-sisters, Erin and Kelly, his best friend, Josh Watts, along with his cat, “Little Foot”. In addition to his father, Derek is was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Emery Beever. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. Cremation services will occur.
