Obituary of Ronald Harrison Manley

Ronald Harrison Manley, 86, of Fairmont, WV, and Georg-Ann Bradley Manley, 85, of Fairmont, WV passed away in their home on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Ronald was the son of the late Harrison and Pearl (West) Manley. Georg-Ann was the daughter of the late Hubert Bradley and Alberta Riggins Bradley Morley. In addition to their parents, they were preceded in death by their infant daughter Regina in 1964, and Ronald's sister and husband, J. Romaine (Manley) McNeil and Richard McNeil of New Jersey. They are survived by their daughter, Connie Nutter and husband Jeffrey of Morgantown, two grandchildren, Barry McClurg Jr. and wife Diamond of Morgantown, WV and Kirsten McClurg and partner Sarah Alway of Hudson, Florida, and one great-granddaughter, Ember McClurg. They are also survived by Brian McNeil and wife Barbara and their children, Donna (Dan Engman), Michael (Lauren), and Kevin; grandchildren, Zachary, Lily and Lucy, all residing in NJ, Steven McNeil and his children Nathan (Vanessa) and children Emma, Owen, and Elsie; Elizabeth (Andrew Doyle) and their children, Lucas and Josie. Ronald was retired from Verizon and Georg-Ann was retired from Walls Insurance Agency. Ronald was a United States Army Veteran, serving for four years defending his country. They both enjoyed traveling, sightseeing, and NASCAR. Ronald also enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Georg-Ann enjoyed quilting and puzzles. Per their request, family only gravesite rites will be performed. Donations to the American Diabetes Association or SNIP WV in lieu of flowers would be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. Private graveside services will be held for the family at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV.
