Jim and I crossed paths in the late 70's while I was working in Bridgeport. From that point on we were friends, and maintained a business relationship as well. I did work for him, he did favors for me, sometimes we would trade favors as well. Jim was always, well, lets say Vibrant. His life was not easy and he had many tragedies, but he managed to keep an upbeat attitude. Always amusing and usually had a funny story to tell, and certainly not above poking fun at himself for a "simple" (shortened quote) act of his own. I have lots of Jimmy Honce stories and I will cherish the memories. Even during the sad moments of writing this, a little grin keeps popping up because of Jimmy's serious, yet impish personality. His recent life had been exceptionally difficult, but now he can finally rest. I am happy to have known him. My deepest condolences to the Honce family.
