Obituary of Russell Lawrence Stacy
Russell Lawrence Stacy Jr., 60, of Fairmont, passed away in his home on Sunday, August 25, 2024. He was born in Fairmont on November 25, 1963, a son of the late Russell Lawrence Stacy Sr. and Helen Louise Rogers Stacy.
Russell is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Ann Lee Stacy; son, Noah Stacy and his companion Heather Wenderlich of Fairmont; daughter, Nancy Rachael Mittan and her husband Tim of Morgantown; brother, Donald Hess of Morgantown; sisters, Sharon Vincent of Fairmont, Jackie Wells of Fairmont, Patty McCombs and her husband Bill of Monongah, Lynn Russell and her companion Eric Woltz of Ohio, and Donna Metheny of Morgantown; as well as three close friends, Tim Wilson, Duane Hawkinberry, and Shawn Ganoe.
Russell worked at St. Barbara’s Nursing Home in Monongah as well as the Genesis Fairmont Campus Tygart Center. He was a 1982 graduate of East Fairmont High School and attended Trinity Assembly of God Church in Fairmont. Russell enjoyed hunting, boating, fixing cars, watching basketball, skiing, ATVs, dirt biking, off roading, and spending time with his family. He was never sitting still and would occupy his time towards the things he loved. Russell was a WVU and Pittsburgh Steeler fan as well.
The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Thursday, August 29, 2024, 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. A celebration of life will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bill Toothman officiating.
