Obituary of Courtney Nicole Martin

Courtney Nicole Martin, of Fairmont, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 3, 2024, at the young age of 30. She was a free spirit that was bold, fierce and on her best days was larger than life for such a petite young woman. Courtney was a Methodist by Faith. She loved spending time with family and friends and was always looking for the best way to have fun in life. From a very young age, she loved going with her pap “Magoo” fishing and whenever she could spend days with her dad, whether it be hunting or four-wheeler riding. She definitely was a true “Daddy’s Girl” at heart. She leaves in her memory two young children, Aaliyah and Abel, her father Ray Martin, Jr. and stepmom Coco Martin, a brother Justin Martin (Sara Eddy) and his three children Mikena Hope, Izzy Faith, and Ray Arlon. Also, she leaves in her memory, her favorite Aunt “Neecie” Denise Ice and her favorite cousin Kayla Sigley, her grandmother Rose Martin, her mother Sherry Carpenter, as well as several cousins and special friends. She was preceded in death by her favorite pap, Ray Arlon “Magoo” Martin, Sr., and her Uncle Richard Bradley Martin. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV. A public graveside service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024. There will not be a public visitation or funeral service. Friends and family may meet at the funeral home at 6pm on Friday for the processional.
