Obituary of Jeffery "Jeff" Allen McGinnis

Jeffrey Allen McGinnis, 62, of Baxter, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, after a short battle with advanced prostate cancer. Born June 11, 1961, to Harry McGinnis Sr. and Patricia Lightfoot in Fairmont, WV. Jeff worked in the construction and mining field. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. The time he enjoyed most was spending time with his granddaughter Annabel, playing board games, barbies, or even getting his fingernails painted. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Patricia and one brother Gregory McGinnis. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Kimberly McGinnis of Baxter, WV, two sons, CJ McGinnis (Dani) of Silver Springs, MD and Tyler McGinnis (Leigha) of New Salem, PA, one granddaughter Annabel Dukich McGinnis of New Salem, PA, one brother Harry (Kip) McGinnis Jr. (Becky) of Rivesville, WV, sister Tamara McGinnis (Daphne) of Paris, France, his father Harry McGinnis Sr. of Fairmont, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made in Jeff’s memory to the Prostate Cancer Foundation at pcf.org. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV. In accordance with Jeff’s wishes, cremation services will occur.
