Obituary of Brenda Cecilia Tennant

Brenda Cecilia Tennant, 81, of Fairmont, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 23, 1942 in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Jose Soto and Cecilia Myer Garcia. Brenda was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of Fairmont. She was a 1961 graduate of East Fairmont High School. She retired from Westinghouse Corporation in Fairmont where she served as a material handler. Brenda enjoyed traveling and shopping, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her son and his wife, J. B. and Shirley Tennant of Fairmont, her significant other, David Cassell of Fairmont, her grandsons, Seth Yates, Chris Yates, and Jerimiah Yates, as well as her great-grandchildren, Brayden, Liam, Keaton, and Kalie Yates. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV. Friends and family may visit the funeral home on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 4PM until 8PM. Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 10AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 329 Maryland Avenue, Fairmont, WV, with Father Kishore Varaparla, HGN as celebrant and Sister Stella Cronauer,CSJ assisting.
