Obituary of William "PJ" Christopher Lynch

William “PJ” Christopher Lynch, 57, of Fairmont, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 13, 1966 in Middletown, Rhode Island, the son of the Rita A. (Balliro) of Fairmont and the late Paul C. Lynch. PJ attended Quiet Dell Baptist Church and was a proud 1984 graduate of East Fairmont High School. For many years, he worked as a shipping clerk at Lynch Hydraulic Manufacturing Company. In addition to his mother, PJ is survived by his three sons, Cameron J. Lynch and his wife Cherise, Samuel C. Lynch and his companion Kimberly, and Brayden R. Toothman, two sisters Jessica Chickerell and her husband Tom and Paula Lynch, all of Fairmont. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Caleah, Calyopie, Calhani, and Cambri, his companion, Lori Gorey, as well as longtime friends, Cecily Greco and Thomas Wilshire, M.D., all of Fairmont. PJ enjoyed collecting, including antiques and his large knife collection. In his spare time, he found joy in listening to music and boxing. He will also be missed by his Pitbull, Vinnie. While he found joy in these activities, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made in PJ’s name to the West Virginia Sober Living, Inc., 206 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV 26505. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. In accordance with PJ’s wishes, cremation services will occur. Friends will be received on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 2 pm until 7 pm. There will be no public funeral service. Inurnment will occur in Grandview Memorial Gardens at a later date.
