Obituary of Keith Brian Satterfield

Keith Brian Satterfield, 68, of Fairmont, WV, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 4, 1956 a son to the late Leslie Glenn and Lenora May (Berry) Satterfield. He was preceded by his loving wife, Deborah Kay (Box) Satterfield. He is survived by his siblings, Maynard and Teresa Satterfield of Fairmont, Kenny Satterfield of Fairmont, Carla Satterfield of Fairmont, and Becky and Jeff Munson of Fairmont, his step-mother, Betty West Satterfield of Core, his step son, Charles “Chip” Gooden of Fairmont, several step-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Keith is preceded in death by his twin brother, Kevin Satterfield, and his sister, Ann Layman. Keith was a Methodist by faith and a 1974 graduate of East Fairmont High School. He retired as a coal miner from the Enlow Fork Mine in Claysville, PA. Keith enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Rachel Sportsman’s Club. Most of all, Keith loved being in the presence of friends, family, and his two dogs, Macee and Charlie. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. Friends will be received on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 4p.m. until 8p.m. and on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 10a.m. until 11a.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 11a.m. with Pastor Bill Toothman officiating.
