Obituary of Allen "Al" Lawrence Kincaid

Allen “Al” Lawrence Kincaid, 83, of Fairmont, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 23, 1940 in Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Lawrence and Pearl M. Wolfe Kincaid. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia L. Reese Kincaid. Mr. Kincaid attended Mt. Sharon Free Methodist Church. Al, also known at “Flat Head Al”, spent his life running his business, Kincaid Construction Company. For over 50 years, he demolished houses and restored property in the Marion and Harrison County area. He enjoyed restoring antique cars and spent most weekends at car shows locally and out of state. He liked to hunt with his grandson and had an interest in guns, often attending many gun shows. He loved watching Westerns and had seen them all, several times around. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Brenda K. Kincaid and her companion Allen Summers of Fairmont, and Lori M. Kincaid and her companion Joseph Kramer of Fairmont, his grandchildren, Tanner Allen and his wife Sydney M. Holbert of Lumberport, Makenzie Allyn Hawkinberry of Fairmont, and Jacie Reese Weaver of Fairmont, and his great-grandson, Karson Allen Holbert. His is also survived by his brother, Walter Stoller of New York, his sister, Lorraine and her husband Stanley Delareintrie of Fairmont, and a special niece, Pamela Jean Morris of Virginia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Arthur Stoller, Lewis Kincaid, and Ellen Rysinger. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. Friends and family are welcome to visit on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 2PM until 8PM, Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 11AM until 1PM. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at 1PM with Reverend Jim Zinn officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery and Mausoleum.
