Obituary of Donna Jo Preston

Donna Jo Preston, 72, of Fairmont passed away in her home on Monday, January 29, 2024. She was born in Fairmont on November 1, 1951, a daughter to the late Arthur and Martha (Dodd) Hoult. She is survived by her only son, Thomas Paul Preston, her brother-in-law, David Preston and his wife Mary Ann, her sister-in-law, Virginia Fleming, and her husband Michael, and her nephews, Jeremy Preston and his wife Katelyn, and Shawn Maditz. In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gerald Preston, and her brother, David Hoult. Donna was a graduate from East Fairmont High School and retired as a beautician. She enjoyed staying at her camp in Tyler County, WV, playing the card game “Bunco” with friends, and loved bird-watching. The Preston family would like the say a special thank you to the Marion County Disability Action Center under the direction of Julie Soles for the continuing care and guidance for Tommy, and to a special family, Cheyann McQuain, Veronica McQuain, and Kendra McQuain Davis for their love and support towards Tommy. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. In accordance with her wishes, Donna’s body will be cremated. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Monday, February, 26, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A committal service will be held at Mt.
