Obituary of James E. "Bud" Tuning

James E. “Bud” Tuning, 87, passed away at his home on January 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving daughter, Sue and companion, Vivian. He was born in Rivesville on November 9, 1936, son of the late Harry Edward “Ed” Tuning and Mary Dean Daniels. Bud is survived by his two daughters, June Croft of North Carolina and Sue Arthurs of Baxter, WV; one son, Thomas Tuning and his wife Laura of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Kelsey, Melissa, and Jeffrey of North Caolina; two sisters, Betty Jo Kirby and Linda Heffner; and a brother, George Tuning. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia. Bud worked as a punch press operator for Temple Steel and enjoyed the outdoors as well as gardening. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 2nd & Jasper St., Rivesville, WV 26588, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 p.m. A committal service will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
