Obituary of Stella Frances Wright

Stella Frances Minnich Wright, 90, of Fairmont, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Genesis Tygart Center. She was born November 8, 1933 in Marion Country, WV, a daughter to the late Ross and Zella Minnich. In addition to her parents, Stella is preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence Wright, Jr. She is survived by her children; David (Betty Ann) Wright of Fairmont, Russell (Katherine) Wright of Fairmont, and Frances O’Connor of Fairmont, nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. Stella is also preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Anderson, her brother; Henry Minnich, her sisters; Dorothy Commodore and Ella Cook, and her great-grandson, Zachary Scott. Stella was a waitress at the Palace Restaurant in Fairmont for 36 years and attended Victor Chapel Church. She enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting, and spending quality time with her grandchildren. The family would like thank the staff at the Genesis Tygart Center and Amedysis Hospice for their wonderful care and support. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, WV 26554. Friends will be received on Thursday, November 30 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. A funeral will be held in the funeral home on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Craig Blankenship officiating.
