Obituary of Robert "Bob" William Gricewich

Robert “Bob” William Gricewich, 85, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 at United Hospital Center. He was born July 4, 1938 in Garden City, Michigan, a son to the late William and Gladys Gricewich. He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth of Bridgeport, WV. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his survived by his children, Mark (Leeann) of Bridgeport, Bethlyn Cluphf (David) of Maryville, IL, and Robert Rich (Amy) of Woodland, WA; his grandchildren; Sarah Lawhon of Maryville, TN, Mark Gricewich II of Mt. Clare, Meredith Gricewich Young of Bridgeport, Michael McCartney of Bridgeport, R.J. Brandenburg of Lost Creek, Megan Brandenburg of Clarksburg, Daniel Cluphf of Seattle, WA, Isaac Cluphf of Oceanside, CA, Joel Cluphf of Oceanside, CA, Christopher (Tara) Rich from Lake Stevens, WA, and Robyn (Lance) Dalke of Woodland, WA; his great-grandchildren; Noah, Gabriel, Asher Lawhon, Aubree McIntire, Della, Grant Gricewich, Ryder Brandenburg, Carys, Reagan, Elliot, Sela, Haddon, and Phoebe Rich, and Naomi and Jack Dalke; his niece, Katherine Mollohan and her children, Anthony and Elizabeth Mollohan of Clarksburg. Bob is also survived by his sister, Ellen Rose Gricewich and her husband David Rudolph of Clarksburg. In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his daughter, Joy Gricewich. Bob was a graduate of Garden City High School in Garden City, MI and Robert Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY. He earned his Master’s Degree from Fairmont State College and West Virginia University. Bob was a business man who started and owned RG Honda in 1963, owned Weston Ford since 1978, and owned RG’s Almost Heaven Harley Davidson. He was a founding member of the Bridgeport Free Methodist Church and served on the board of directors at Robert Wesleyan College and Gerry Homes in Gerry, NY, which is a free methodist retirement community. Bob was a member of the Weston Rotary Club and a hard worker who enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, and spending time with his family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV 26330. Friends will be received at the Bridgeport Free Methodist Church, 601 Broadway Avenue, Bridgeport, WV 26330 on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the church at 5 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Stalnaker officiating.
