Obituary of Gary E. Crandall
Gary E. Crandall, 76, of Fairmont, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016, at his residence. He was born February 16, 1940 in Fairmont, a son of the late Bernard and Ethel Rice Crandall. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jackie Geldbaugh Crandall.
Gary was a 1957 graduate of Farmington High School. He was a veteran with the United States Navy. While in service he participated in the Navy Softball and boxing teams. Gary owned and operated Crandall’s Tavern in Boothsville. He also did auto-body painting from his home garage. He delivered “the bulletin” for the Bulletin Board. Gary loved camping in his RV, boating on the Tygart Lake, fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and playing poker with his buddies. He loved cutting his grass on his “Cadillac John Deere” tractor, but most of all spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Joseph A. Crandall and his companion Lyndsay Biafore of Fairmont, Ashley M. and her husband Chris “Woody” Walker of Fairmont, Samuel E. Crandall and his companion Kaitlin Hizer of Fairmont; grandchildren; Ashton Louis Walker, Austin Maddox Walker, and Abigail Marie Crandall; a brother, Floyd and his wife Rhonda Crandall of TN; as well as many other family members and cousins.

Friends and family may call the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 3PM until 8PM and on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 12 noon until 1PM. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 1PM with Reverend Matt Holbert officiating.
