Obituary of Jeffrey Mark Kester

Jeffrey Mark Kester, 60,of Fairmont, WV, passed away on October 13th, 2023 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, following an extended illness. He was born in Clarksburg WV, to the late Brooks Herman Kester and Clarice Jean Stiles on January 12th 1963. Jeff was a proud graduate and alumni from East Fairmont High School's class of 1981. He attended Morgantown United Technical Center and received his LPN license. He also attended Fairmont State College to earn his EMT certification and also attained his bachelor's degree in business and accounting. He worked for Frey Home for Funerals as an EMT for ambulance services for several years. He was most recently employed by West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation services as a rehabilitation counselor and was a loyal and dedicated employee. Jeff was a huge WW2 and Civil War history buff. He especially loved following local high school, WVU, and Steelers football. He also enjoyed cookouts, holidays, and spending time with his family. Jeff was a proud resident of Fairmont and had a huge love for Woody's hotdogs. He also had a soft spot for his dog Daphne and a gigantic heart for all animals. He was also a devoted Christian and was a member of Renovate/Baptist Temple church. He is survived by his loving wife Randa of 36 years, his daughter, Jennifer Swisher of Fairmont, his two sisters, Carolyn Dalton of Cortland, Ohio and Connie Brumage of Fairmont. WV, two aunts, Joanne Hunter and Eleanor Vilian. He is also survived by one nephew Douglas Dalton, four nieces, Desiree Watkins, Dana Walls, Brett Brumage, and Brittiany Brumage, and several great nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents Brooks and Clarice Kester, his paternal grandparents Herman and Stella Kester, his maternal grandparents, Marie and Bill Stiles, one brother, Paul Steven Kester and two sisters, Linda Diane Kester and Paulette Fender.
