Obituary of Daniel Edward Allen

Daniel Edward Allen, 81, of Creston, Ohio, passed in his home on Saturday, October 7, 2023. He was born in Grant Town, West Virginia on March 2, 1942, a son to the late Nathan Allen and Emma Cogar Allen He is retired SFC United States Army with 21 years of service and he was also a former electrician. Daniel is survived by his sons; Vincent Allen, Leroy Allen, Frederick Allen, and Melrose Allen, his sisters; Virginia Weekley, Judy Wells, Mary Stevens, Emogene (Don) Narog, Linda (Jerry) White, his brother, Bill (Brenda) Allen, 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki Allen, and a sister, Elise Warnick. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV 26588. There will be no public visitation or funeral service. A service of committal will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Grandview Memorial Gardens at 93 Grandview Cemetery Road, Fairmont WV, 26554 with full military funeral honors.
