Obituary of Hayward David "Hawk" Hawkinberry

Hayward David “Hawk” Hawkinberry, 54, of Fairmont, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 28, 1969 in Morgantown, WV a son to the late Howard Loudin and Helen Hawkinberry. He is survived by his loving wife, Michele Triantifilou. David attended East Fairmont High School and was a Christian by faith. He was a member of the UMWA and was most recently employed as an Industrial Electrician for Lincoln Contracting, R.N. E. Electric, and Roger’s Electric. David loved being with his close friends and family. He enjoyed fishing and camping by the river and playing chess. David was a very social man and did not know a stranger. In addition to his wife, David is survived by his brothers; Randy Hawkinberry of Fairmont, Kevin Hawkinberry of Fairmont, Albert Hawkinberry of Fairmont, and Duane (Beverly) Hawkinberry of Carolina. He is also survived by his sister, Merry Schmuck of Fairmont, his Stepson Dylan Blake of Fairmont, and his stepdaughter Sarah Neel and her fiancé Stephen Clutter of Fairmont. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brother Raymond Burke, and his sister Misty Dawn. Memorial Contributions may be made to Quiet Dell Baptist Church, 2272 E. Grafton Road, Fairmont, WV 26554. The Family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont WV, 26554. Friends will be received Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 11a.m until 1p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 1p.m. with Pastor Ed Carpenter officiating.
