Obituary of Jo Ann Moore Ice

Jo Ann Moore Ice, 81, of Monroe St., Rivesville, WV, passed away early Sunday morning in her residence. She was born January 25, 1935 in Widen, WV (Clay County), daughter of the late John Edward and Leah Hamrick Teets. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert Moore, and her 2nd husband Marshall T. Ice. Mrs. Moore was a member of Highlawns United Methodist Church in Rivesville, WV. She was a graduate of Gassaway High School and West Virginia Business College. She retired from Westinghouse – North American Philips as a utility operator in the lamp plant, with 35 years of service. She earlier worked in the Bookkeeping Dept. at Jones Dept. Store and Fairmont Wall Plaster. Mrs. Ice enjoyed reading, music, and was an avid football fan. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Frank Edward and Linda Moore of Rivesville, WV; a daughter and daughter-in-law, Joyce Ann and Melissa Addison of Laurel Point, WV, 3 grandchildren; Charles Robert Moore of Rivesville, WV, Cynthia Faith and her husband Christopher Binotto of Fairmont, WV, and Willow Grace Addison of Laurel Point, WV, 2 great grandchildren, Leah and Chloe Binotto of Fairmont, WV, 2 sisters, Barbara Ellen Teets Warren of Middletown, NY and Ruth Ann Teets Boothe of Glade Springs, WV, several nieces and nephews, a special friend Margi Davis of Fairmont, WV, and her faithful pet, Smokey. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, William Boothe. Friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Jasper St., Rivesville, WV from 2pm until 8pm on Tuesday. Visitation will continue on Wednesday in Highlawns United Methodist Church, Rivesville, WV from 10am until 11am. Funeral services will be held at 11am in the church, with Rev. Stanley Merrifield and Rev. Amanda Gayle Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbe Cemetery in Marion County, WV.
