Obituary of Rose P. Massulo Polis

Rose P. Massulo Polis, 86, of Fairmont, formerly of Columbia St., passed away in her home on Friday, November 11, 2016. She was born April 13, 1930 in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Filomena Munzi Massullo. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Frank “Junior” Polis, Jr. Mrs. Polis was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fairmont. She retired from the C& P Telephone Company as a long distance telephone operator. Rose enjoyed reading, as well as watching cooking shows. She is survived by her son, David Polis; five grandchildren, Christiana Stalnaker, Ashley Polis, Mary Alice Polis, Krista Hess and Joshua Hess; six great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Mary Lois Piscitelli, all of Fairmont. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Tony Massullo and Paul Massullo. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, to assist with funeral expenses. Family and friends may call the Ford Funeral Home on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 4PM until 8PM and on Friday, November 18, 2016, from 11AM until 12 Noon. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday and 12 Noon with Father Walter Jagela as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairmont, WV.
