Obituary of Amy Suzanne Mason Brand

Amy Suzanne Mason Brand, 52, of Masontown, WV, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at her residence. She was born on October 6, 1970, in Anderson, IN, a daughter of Raymond L. and Judy K. Palmer Mason. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael A. Brand. Mrs. Brand was a Christian by faith and a 1989 graduate of Anderson High School, as well as Fairmont State University. She was currently working with WVU Medicine as a centralized scheduler, she formerly worked with Swanson Plating for over 14 years as a purchasing agent. Amy enjoyed everything outdoors. She spent many hours gardening, boating, and tent camping. She loved sitting around a fire of an evening, She was known to be the life of the room, never knowing a stranger. She truly was a kind and caring friend, who would always take care of others. Amy loved spending time with her family, but especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her children, Kara Butler, Austin Ferguson, Katie Brand, and Haylee Ferguson, her brother, Mark Mason, and her half-brother, Tim Palmer and his wife Brenda. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Addisyn, Khaliyah, Kingstyn, Ty Ty, Jaicee, Joleah, Aralynn, and Alylah, a brother-in-law, Barry Brand, and a loved one, Lucretia Ferguson. Amy is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Millard Palmer, as well as her paternal grandparents, Florence and Albert Mason. The Brand family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, from 12 P.M until 1 P.M. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 pm with Pastor Josh Morgan officiating. In accordance with her wishes, cremation services will follow the funeral service. A celebration of life will be held in Anderson, Indiana at a later date.
