Obituary of Jonas John-Richard Christian Jenkins

Jonas John-Richard Christian Jenkins, 4, of Fairmont, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the Fairmont Medical Center. He was born on May 14, 2018, in Morgantown, a son of Timothy N. Jenkins and Savannah D. Christian. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Ryland Jenkins; a sister, Graceleigh Jenkins; grandparents, Richard and Melissa Christian, Jeff and Jennifer Jenkins; great grandparents, Gary and Patricia Minigh, John Holcomb, and Neil and Pam Jenkins; a great- great grandmother, Kathleen King; aunts and uncles, Abu and Cassidie KaiKai, Billy Harbarger and Emily Haddix, Matt and Laura Mayhew, Devon and Natalie Dent, Easten Christian, Richie Christian, Rebekah Jenkins, Abigail Jenkins, and Jessica Jenkins; cousins, Moses KaiKai, Naeomi KaiKai, Sarae KaiKai, Dakotah Haddix, Ava Haddix, Issac Harbarger, Maddie Harbarger, Mason Mayhew, Scarlett Mayhew, Aaden Dent, Charlotte Dent, Rosie Dent, and Sealey Dent. He is also survived by several great uncles, aunts, and loving friends. He is preceded in death by a great grandmother, Kathy Trader Holcomb. Jonas found great joy in attending Sunday School at Covenant Church. He enjoyed playing with his Hot Wheel Cars and inflatables. He also enjoyed old cars, especially The Oldsmobile. His favorite color was red. He loved his Spiderman boots and watching his great uncle arrive in his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He became a friend to all that met him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554 to help offset funeral expenses. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. Friends will be received on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Josh Morgan and Pastor Roy Weese presiding.
