Obituary of Eve Fan Young Walker

Eve Fan Young Walker, 48, of Bridgeport, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. She was born February 28, 1975, in Taichung, Taiwan, the daughter of the late Cheh Young and Shu Chen Wu-Young. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Stephen M. Walker; her two sons, David Andrew Walker and Kyle Young Walker, both of Bridgeport; her brother Andy Young of Rowland Heights, California; and several brothers- and sisters-in-law. Following graduation from Falls Church High School, in Falls Church, Virginia, in 1993, she attended George Mason University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Politics. She met her husband in 1998 and they married two years later overlooking the Caribbean Sea, on the coastline of St. Thomas, U. S. Virgin Islands. Eve, most recently, was an importer and seller of succulent plants through the business that she started, So Succin’ Cute, after having worked as a legal assistant at Steptoe & Johnson PLLC for several years. Eve enjoyed traveling with her family. Her favorite vacation was traveling on Disney Cruises – she cruised the Caribbean multiple times and once sailed with them along the Alaskan coast. She was an enthusiastic baseball fan. With a goal of visiting every Major League ballpark, she enjoyed games at stadiums throughout the country. She was a passionate hockey fan, rooting for her beloved Philadelphia Flyers. Eve was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed crime and mystery novels. She dearly loved her two goldendoodles, Sully and Henry, who were always by her side. Her greatest joys were her two sons. She was grateful to be able to see them grow to be wonderful young men, graduating high school and beginning their college journeys.
