Obituary of Charlotte Lovell Flowers

Charlotte Lovell Flowers, 83, of Fairmont, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Fairmont General Hospital. She was born on April 15, 1939, in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late Paul J. and Beatrice Hill Lovell. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Flowers. Charlotte attended Bridgeport High School and Fairmont State College, where she was a member of the Gamma Chi Chi. She was a member of the Simpson Creek Baptist Church, Bridgeport, WV. In addition to her husband, Charlotte is survived by her son, R. Bryan (Tammy) Flowers and daughter, Lori (Alan) Dunn, daughter-in-law, Kelly Flowers; also, grandchildren, Gannon (Taylor) Flowers, Bryson Flowers, Sierra Flowers, and great grandson, Sutton Flowers. She is also survived by her brother, Paul Lovell, Jr. During her lifetime, she was active in the church, where she served at times as an assistant organist, played the piano, was a youth counselor, and taught the youth choir. She also enjoyed playing the piano for weddings. She was a wonderful wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul J. and Beatrice Lovell, and a son Michael David Flowers. The Flowers Family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 3-8 p.m. and on Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 10-11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Michael Hopkins and Pastor Sean Wegener presiding.
