Obituary of Debra Ann Eppler

Debra Ann Eppler,54, of Fairmont, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born March 27, 1968, a daughter of John M. Matura and the late Sharon M. Mergogey Matura. She is survived by her fiancé, of 26 years, Frank V. Winiavski. Debbie was a homemaker in her own home. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family as well as many others. She adored her grandchildren and was drawn to taking care of babies, all babies. She took care of everything for everybody, and kept everything together. She ran the “Bank of Debbie” and made sure everyone had their needs met. Debbie loved visiting with friends and family, and was always up for a game of poker or heading out for bingo. She loved her dog, Gypsie. In addition to her fiancé, she is survived by her children, Robert J. Matura, Tracy L and her husband Todd Rhoades, and Renee M. and her husband Calvin Shonce all of Fairmont, her two step-children, Frank Winiavski Jr. and Chris Sepaniak, her eight grandchildren and one on the way, and her sister, Darlene M Flory of Fairmont, her brother, John Michael Matura Jr of Parkersburg, and seven nieces and three nephews. She is also survived by her close family friend Megan Fincham and her children. In addition to her mother, Debra was preceded in death by her two granddaughters, Lilian and Aubree. The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to WVU Medicine Cardiology team of Fairmont for all of her medical care. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 12 noon until 4PM.
