Obituary of Julia Marie Davis

Julia Marie Davis, 64 of Montana Mines, WV passed on Friday, February 24, 2023 at West Virginia University Hospitals, Ruby Memorial. She was born September 12, 1958 to Joe and Carmella Becker in Newport, OR. She graduated from Newport High School in 1977. She worked for various health care jobs over the years. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was also a very crafty person. She enjoyed knitting and wood working with her friend, Nancy Simpson. She survived by her dad Joe Becker of Newport, OR; her husband of 44 years Gary Davis; a son and daughter-in-law Adam and Amanda Davis; eleven siblings Janet, Mary, Cynthia, Marilyn, Linda, Lorraine, Charlotte, Michael, Matthew, Mark and James; her grandkids Myles Davis and Joshua Davis and his fiancé Erin Ramsey; a soon to be great granddaughter Peanut; mother-in-law Marjorie Davis; brother-in-law Tom Davis; sister-in-law Debbie Kozlowski; many nieces and nephews and very special friends Pat and Nancy Simpson, Jessie and her son Gunner, Kim Neel, Joanne and Harry Martin and Lisa Moore. Julia was also preceded in death by her mother Carmella; son Tom Davis; brothers-in-law Steve, Jim, Howard, and Fred and her grandparents. The pallbearers for Mrs. Davis's service are Adam Davis, Joshua Davis, Myles Davis, Tom Davis, Pat Simpson, and Harry Martin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help defray funeral costs. Friends will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Second and Jasper Streets, Rivesville, WV on Thursday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The funeral will be celebrated in the funeral home on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Michael Little presiding. The interment will follow at McCurdysville Cemetery.
