Obituary of Ruth Ann Frame Heston

Ruth Ann Frame Heston, 82, of Pleasant Valley, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 17, 1940 in Fairmont, WV a daughter of the late Emerson Monroe and Roxie G. Neel Frame. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Thomas E. Heston. Ruth was a 1958 graduate of East Fairmont High School and later attended bookkeeping classes. She was raised and baptized in The Baptist Temple Church in Fairmont. Ruth was a homemaker in her own home and had an instrumental job of raising her children, as well as many neighborhood children, and keeping them all in line. She was a talented seamstress and specialized in upholstery of antique cars. Ruth shared her husband’s interest in antique cars and was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America both on the national and regional levels. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxillary and loved to line dance. She belonged to the Sharing and Caring Cancer support group. She was involved in the reunion planning committee for the class of ’58, and also enjoyed attending State Street School reunions. Ruth was wild at heart and enjoyed motorcycles, snowmobiles, and go-carts well into her adult years. In addition to her loving husband, Ruth is survived by her children, Thomas Eugene and his wife Susie Heston, of Pleasant Valley, and Roxanne and her husband Donald Loughery of Bunner Ridge, her grandchildren, Duaine and his wife Jane Heston, of Idamay, Brandon Loughery of Harvard,MA, and Brittney and her husband Nathan Tatterson, of Fairmont, as well as her six great grandchildren and her brother, Emerson Eugene Frame of Grafton, and many close friends and extended family. Ruth was preceded in death by her sons, Frederick Alan Heston and David Monroe Heston, and her siblings, Judith (Chuck) Hayhurst, Linda (Jerrie) Ott, and her sister-in-law Barbara Frame. The family would like to thank WV Caring Hospice and all the heathcare providers who cared for Ruth over the past several months. Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s memory to the giver’s charity of choice. The family has entrusted care and arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 2PM until 8PM and on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 12 noon until 1PM. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 1PM with Reverend Stanley Merrifield officiating. The interment will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Fairmont.
