Obituary of Clinton "Sam" Bradley Carpenter

Clinton “Sam” Bradley Carpenter, 58, of Fairmont, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the Fairmont Medical Center. He was born August 30, 1964 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late Denzel L. and Eleanor M. Rowan Carpenter. Sam was a huge Elvis fan. He knew the lyrics to every Elvis song and had seen every Elvis movie. He loved to watch WWE wrestling four nights a week, and loved to collect WWE memorabilia. He enjoyed spending time with his whole family every Sunday for weekly dinners. Sam had been a Special Olympian in the past, as well as a member of the Marion County Disability Action Center. Sam is survived by his brothers, Denzel Allen Carpenter and Robert Carpenter both of Fairmont, his nieces, Cristy L.(Ron) Linkh and Bobbie Jo (Jeremy) Myers, his uncle, George Carpenter of Preston County, WV, and his great- nieces and nephews, Brooklyn Myers, Logan Myers, Madison Linkh, and Morgan Linkh. In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Doris Carpenter. Memorial donations may be made to Marion County Special Olympics, 102 Benoni Avenue, Fairmont, WV 26554. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV. Friends and family may visit on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 10AM until 1:30PM. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 1:30PM with Evangelist Andy Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
