Obituary of Todd Forrest Suplita

Todd Forrest Suplita, 52, of Monongah, WV, passed away on January 10, 2023, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born on January 29, 1970, in Fairmont, WV, the son of Judith Hamilton Suplita and the late Andrew Suplita. Todd was a graduate of North Marion High School, where he excelled in sports and was a member of the individual state championship-winning track team. He went on to graduate from Fairmont State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was a member of the TKE (Tau Kappa Epsilon) Fraternity and enjoyed spending time with his fraternity brothers. Todd spent his career in the engineering industry, most recently employed by TRC Consulting and Engineering as a Project Manager. He was a Methodist by faith and a member of Life United Methodist Church of Fairmont, WV. Todd was full of life; he was a dreamer and a planner. He spent his time enjoying his family, friends, and his dogs (the "littles"), Theo and Gertie. He and his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 27 years, Tiffiney, had a special, loving bond that many admired. He was a proud father of his children, Carly and Caden, and enjoyed participating in their adult lives. Todd was happiest in life spending summer days by the pool and nights around a fire with his family. He loved having Sunday dinner at his mom’s house, hanging out at Prunty’s Pub with his brother-in-law and good friend Matt, tinkering in his garage, and watching sports with his brother, Brent. Todd loved all sports but was a loud and proud fan of his beloved Pittsburgh Penguins. Todd relished the outdoor life: fishing the mountain streams, hunting, and golfing with his buddies. He also enjoyed vacationing in the mountains and the beach with his family and friends. Todd was a right-hand man for many and was generous with his time, helping others with projects and tasks. He had an appetite for life and a major sweet tooth. He, himself, was a sweet and kind-natured man and will be forever missed by many. Todd is survived by his wife, Tiffiney Esposito Suplita, his daughter, Carly Suplita of Morgantown (fiancé, Jayce Riley), and his son, Caden Suplita. He is also survived by his mother, Judy Suplita of Bridgeport, his sister, Donna Suplita of Bridgeport, and his brother and sister-in-law, Brent and Rose Suplita of Katy, as well as his father-in-law, Jim Esposito (wife, Janet Esposito) of Monongah, his sister-in-law Shawna Esposito Magaha and brother-in-law, Matt Magaha of Monongah, his niece Sheray Efaw (husband, Nick Hermosilla), his niece, Brogan Efaw, and his great-nieces and nephew, Mia, Ayla, and Rowan. Additionally, he is survived by his aunt and uncle, Fay and Terry Hamilton of Katy, aunt, Rosemary Suplita of Plano, Texas, and multiple close cousins and lifelong friends. In addition to his father, he was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Glen and Midge Hamilton and Pete and Orpha Suplita, mother-in-law Charlotte (Shook) Esposito, and uncle, Peter Paul Suplita. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home. A celebration of Todd’s life will be held at Life United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Larry Buckland presiding. All are welcome.
