Obituary of Judith Ann Shreve

Judith Ann Shreve, 83, of Fairmont, WV, passed away on December 31, 2022 at Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Fairmont on April 9, 1939 of H. Clare Hess and Fonda V, Hall Hess. She is survived by two daughters Mary Ellen Hinerman and her husband Pete Hinerman of Mannington and Susan Younis and her husband Phil Younis of Charlotte, NC; four grandsons Sean Hinerman and wife Melissa Hinerman of Mannington, WV, Philip Younis of Hickory, NC, Josh Younis of Charlotte, NC, and Ethan Younis of Charlotte, NC, and one great-grandson Parker Hinerman of Mannington; a step-granddaughter Stacey Hayes and husband Sonny Hayes of Mannington, and a step-great granddaughter Olivia Hayes of Mannington, WV; one sister Kay Charlton of Fairmont, WV; a nephew Brian Morris of Fairmont, WV; three nieces Jayne Stamper of Ohio, Amy Hess of NC, and Jill Hess of WV. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Kimberly Lynn Shanks, her brother Clare Hess, sister-in-law Sue Hess, and sisters Marita Hamer, Rosemary Hess, a nephew Paul Hamer and her husband Wayne L Shreve whom she dearly loved along with his many children and grandchildren. Judy was joyful and had an infectious laugh and loved sharing it with her friends and family. Judy retired from the Marion County Schools where she worked as a teachers assistant. She and Wayne enjoyed traveling in their RV all over the United States. She loved to oil paint and was a member of the art league. She loved to spend time in her flower gardens and cook. She had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and she loved spending time with her family. The family would like to express its deep appreciation to the doctors and nurses at the Ruby Memorial CVICU unit for all the special care that she received while she was a patient there. The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road Fairmont, WV on Tuesday from 6 pm to 8 pm. The funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 11 am with Reverend Larry Buckland presiding. Entombment will follow at the Mt.
