Obituary of Frank Price

Frank Price, 83, passed away on Wednesday, December, 21, 2022, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born in Millersville Community, WV, on January 30, 1939, a son of the late Oren Herschel Price and Lillian Barker Price. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Terri Dawn Rinehart Price; son, Eric Price and his spouse Maridel of Fredericksburg, VA; daughters Natalie Price of Overland Park, KS, Cynthia Price and her spouse Per Normark of Minneapolis, MN, Amber Shearer and her spouse Nick of Lumberport, WV, Danielle Price of Burlington, VT; four grandchildren, Christopher Tornabene and his spouse Jackie, Dawnthea Price Lisco and her spouse Christian, Madeleine Price, and C. Price Normark; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister, Alberta Harris of Bridgeport, WV and was preceded in death by his sister Freda Kane and brother, Bill Price. Frank worked at Mon Power for 42 years in various positions including Display, Educational Service Representative, and Economic Development. He enjoyed teaching how “Electricity is Made” to 6th graders in the Mon Power territory. He also served in the West Virginia National Guard. Frank was a 1957 graduate of East Fairmont High School and attended Fairmont State College. He loved running and encouraged many locally in the sport. Throughout his running career, Frank completed 10 marathons, including 2 Boston Marathons, 1 Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C., and 5 New York City Marathons (his favorite marathon), as well as local marathons. He founded the “Hash House Harriers” running group in Fairmont. He also loved dirt bike racing, mountain biking, backpacking, hiking, and snow skiing. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street in Fairmont, WV 26554 on Friday, December 23, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Saturday, December 24, 2022 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fordfuneralhomes.com.
