Obituary of Michael "Teddy" Eugene Wise

Michael “Teddy” Eugene Wise, 70, of Barrackville, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at his home. He was born in Fairmont on November 14, 1952, son of the late William “Bill” Wise and Oneda “Skeet” Hawkins Wise. Mike is survived by his sisters, Kay Tonkin and her husband David of Barrackville and Pat Williams of Scottsboro, AL as well as several nieces and nephews. Mike was a graduate of Barrackville High School, a retired coal miner, and enjoyed fishing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Mike’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or to the Monumental Cemetery Association, 648 Monumental Road, Fairmont, WV 26554. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, WV 26554, on Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at 3 p.m. with Reverend Dr. David Cyphers officiating.
