Obituary of Dora Jean Louise Arnett

Dora Jean Louise Arnett, 95, of Rivesville, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022 at the John Manchin Sr. Healthcare Facility in Fairmont. She was born October 10, 1927 in Marion County a daughter of the late Victor and Alice Toothman Arnett. Dora Jean was a dedicated homemaker and mother. She was an excellent cook and her speciality was her skinny meatballs and her homemade bread which she made almost daily. She held weekly Sunday dinners for which her extended family attended. Dora Jean was a caregiver her entire life, she helped raise her siblings during her youth and took care of her ailing father in her adulthood, as well as raising her own children. Dora Jean is survived by her two sons, Roger and Alisa Arnett of Rivesville, and Timothy “Tim” L and Doris James of Bellview, her three grandsons, one granddaughter, and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV. In keeping with her wishes, cremation services will be held and private family services will be held at graveside at Arnettsville Cemetery in Arnettsville.
